Nondistributivity refers to the failure of the distributive law in an algebraic structure. In a set equipped with two binary operations (often denoted + and ×), the distributive law requires that for all elements a, b, and c, a × (b + c) = (a × b) + (a × c) and (b + c) × a = (b × a) + (c × a). When this identity does not hold, the structure is called nondistributive.
