Neurovaskulaarisissa refers to conditions affecting both the nervous system and the blood vessels. These conditions can arise when the blood supply to the brain or spinal cord is compromised, or when blood vessels within the nervous system themselves are diseased. A common example is a stroke, where a disruption in blood flow to the brain can lead to neuronal damage. This disruption can be due to a blockage, known as an ischemic stroke, or a rupture of a blood vessel, resulting in a hemorrhagic stroke.

Other neurovaskulaarisissa conditions include vascular dementia, where repeated small strokes or damage to blood vessels in the brain impair cognitive function. Aneurysms, which are bulging or ballooning in a blood vessel wall, can also be considered neurovaskulaarisissa if they occur in the brain and pose a risk of rupture.
