Neuroprzekanikach, more commonly known as neurotransmitters, are chemical messengers that transmit signals from a neuron across a synapse to a target cell. This target cell may be another neuron, a muscle cell, or a gland cell. Neurotransmitters are essential for communication within the nervous system and play a crucial role in a wide range of physiological and psychological processes.

The process begins when an electrical signal, known as an action potential, travels down the axon of a neuron. Upon reaching the axon terminal, this electrical signal triggers the release of neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft, the small gap between the presynaptic and postsynaptic cells. For instance, imbalances in dopamine are implicated in Parkinson's disease and addiction, while alterations in serotonin are linked to depression and anxiety.
