negatywn
Negatywn is not a standard Polish word. In formal Polish, the corresponding adjective is negatywny and the noun meaning “negative” is negatyw. The spelling negatywn does not appear as a recognized lemma in major dictionaries and is generally considered nonstandard. When encountered, it is most often the result of a misspelling, a truncation in compounds, or a nonstandard usage rather than a widely accepted term.
The term derives from the Latin negativus, passing into Polish through the common root neg- found in
- negatywny (adj.) versus pozytywny (adj.)
- negatyw (noun) versus pozytyw (noun) or pozytywność (noun)
In formal writing, negatywn should be avoided in favor of negatywny or negatyw. When discussing photography,

As a nonstandard form, negatywn may appear in branding, fictional works, or as a typographic error.
