Nedreglerat is a Swedish adjective meaning "downregulated," "turned down" or "reduced in regulation." The term is commonly used in biological, medical and technical contexts to describe a decrease in activity, expression or responsiveness of a system, molecule or device.

In molecular biology and physiology, nedreglerat refers to reduced levels or activity of genes, receptors, enzymes or signalling pathways. Mechanisms include decreased transcription, increased mRNA or protein degradation, receptor internalization and desensitization. Receptor nedreglering is a frequent response to prolonged agonist exposure and underlies phenomena such as drug tolerance and altered cellular responsiveness.
