ndërtuara

Ndërtuara is an Albanian term meaning “built” or “constructed.” It functions as a past participle used as an adjective to describe structures or features that have been completed through building work. In Albanian grammar, past participles used as adjectives agree with the noun they modify in gender and number.

Morphology and usage. Ndërtuara is the feminine singular form of the past participle derived from the verb ndërtuar (to build). The masculine singular form is ndërtuar, while other forms vary for numbers and genders. In practice, ndërtuara is used with feminine singular nouns, for example: një ndërtime ndërtuara, një kulla ndërtuara, apo shtëpia ndërtuara në vitet ’30. The term appears widely in architectural descriptions, historical summaries, and archival texts to indicate that a structure has been completed rather than still under construction.

Contexts and examples. Ndërtuara commonly appears in descriptions of buildings, monuments, districts, or sites where the emphasis is on the completed nature of the construction. It may be found in museum labels, heritage records, survey reports, and scholarly writing about urban development or architectural history. For instance, “kulla ndërtuara në shekullin e XVII-të” translates to “the tower built in the seventeenth century.”
