nadvlád

Nadvlád is a concept in Czech history and politics that refers to the period of control or dominance of one person or group over another. The term is particularly associated with the period of the Habsburg Monarchy in the 18th and 19th centuries, when the Austrian emperor held sway over a diverse range of territories and populations.

During this time, the Habsburgs implemented various policies aimed at strengthening their control and promoting the interests of the monarchical system. These measures included the establishment of centralized administrative systems, the promotion of a unified identity for the multi-ethnic empire, and the use of patronage and social control to maintain order and loyalty.
