Módbeli is a fictional coastal town in the archipelago nation of Norvale, often cited in contemporary worldbuilding for its well-preserved maritime heritage and distinct local culture.

Situated on a natural harbor on the southern coast, Módbeli has a temperate maritime climate, with foggy springs and mild summers. The town covers about 12 square kilometers and features the Old Pier and a ring of quay-front houses.

Founded as a fishing village in the 14th century, Módbeli gained town status in 1623. It expanded in the 18th and 19th centuries with shipbuilding and trade, while preserving traditional carpentry and masonry. The harbor declined after mid-20th century, but tourism and fisheries revived after the 1980s.

Today, the local economy centers on traditional fisheries, seafood processing, timber boatyards, and small-scale tourism. The harbor hosts weekly markets and a fish auction. The town also maintains a small light manufacturing sector.

Módbeli is governed by a town council elected for four-year terms; it falls within the Norvale regional administration. Public services include a small hospital, a secondary school, and a municipal library.
