Multipleksointi is a technique used in telecommunications and computer networking to combine multiple signals or data streams into a single channel. There are several common types of multipleksointi. Time Division Multipleksointi (TDM) assigns each signal a specific time slot within the combined channel. Frequency Division Multipleksointi (FDM) divides the available bandwidth into different frequency bands, with each signal occupying its own band. Wavelength Division Multipleksointi (WDM) is a variation of FDM used in optical fiber communications, where different signals are transmitted using different wavelengths of light.
