Monokotiset is a group of flowering plants that belongs to the class Monocotyledoneae. This group is characterized by having a single cotyledon in their seeds, hence the name monocotyledon. The monocot seeds also have a specific arrangement of vascular tissues and a characteristic vascular bundle.
