"Molekül" is the Turkish word for "molecule". A molecule is an electrically neutral group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. The term "molecule" is usually used when the bonded atoms have the same elemental composition or when the group of atoms has no net electric charge. Molecules are distinguished from ions by their lack of net electric charge. However, the term "molecule" is also used to denote neutral groups of atoms that form a distinct unit. For example, a sample of water is composed of molecules, each consisting of one oxygen atom covalently bonded to two hydrogen atoms.
Molecules are the smallest fundamental units of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical
