Modelljelemek is a term referring to model elements, the fundamental constructs used to describe a system in modeling practice. Spelling varies by language; for example modellielemendid in Estonian or Modellelemente in German. The term denotes the building blocks of a model.

A model element represents a distinct concept within the domain and is defined by its type, name, and properties. Elements are organized and related to reflect structure, behavior, and constraints of the modeled system.
