Metriikkaryhmä is a term used in Finnish mathematics and related fields. It refers to a collection of elements for which a metric, or distance function, is defined. This metric allows for the measurement of the "distance" between any two elements within the group.

The fundamental property of a metric space is that it satisfies certain axioms. These axioms ensure that the defined distance function behaves in a way that is consistent with our intuitive understanding of distance.
