Metallotreptorikaita is a rare mineral found in the Tomiyose mine in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. It was first discovered in 2010 and is considered a member of the titanite group. The name metallotreptorikaita was derived from the words "metallo" referring to the metallic elements present in the mineral and "treptorikaita" which is the name of another related mineral species.

Metallotreptorikaita is characterized by its metal-rich composition which includes elements such as iron, manganese, and chromium. It is typically found as a secondary mineral in hydrothermal veins and is associated with other minerals such as titanite, quartz, and calcite. The mineral has a comb-like or fan-like crystal habit and exhibits a deep orange to reddish-brown coloration.

The mineral structure of metallotreptorikaita is composed of calcium, iron, and titanium ions arranged in a distorted titanite structure.
