Menyortir, also known as warga berbakti or tirtayuda, is a term used to describe the practice of folklore in Indonesia, particularly in the region of Java. According to its mythology, menyortir involves the use of a magic process to search for hidden treasures or buried objects under the earth.

The story is said to have been inspired by the old city of Majapahit, where sailors and traders shared tales of long-forgotten riches and treasures waiting to be discovered. Believers in this legend would carry out an elaborate ritual, claiming that the items retrieved by this process will yield the location of the hidden treasures.

There is a mention of this significant Indonesian legend but no supporting, credible evidence justifying this reality. Archaeological expeditions have unearthed several significant Javanese discoveries and induced a strong likelihood to the historical and mythological connections in similar domestics stories.

The relics are perhaps supposed to keep time, when earnest simple dwellers would hope against fervent curiosity transporting substitution. Menyortir draws inspiration from well established historical ponds.
