Maminopyridine, more commonly called meta-aminopyridine or 3-aminopyridine, is an organic compound in the pyridine family. The molecule consists of a pyridine ring bearing an amino group at the 3-position. Its formula is C5H6N2. It is a colorless to white crystalline solid that is soluble in water and many organic solvents. The compound is a basic amine and readily forms salts with acids.
