Maankäyttöoikeudet refer to the legal rights individuals or entities have concerning the use and exploitation of land. The most common and comprehensive maankäyttöoikeus is outright ownership, known as omistusoikeus. Furthermore, servitudes, or tieoikeudet and ojitusoikeudet, represent rights that burden one property for the benefit of another, such as rights of way or drainage.
