Lézernyomtatás, also known as laser printing, is a common electrophotographic printing method. It produces high-quality text and images by repeatedly passing a laser beam over a charged cylindrical drum, attracting toner to the areas the laser touches. The toner is then transferred from the drum to the paper. Heat and pressure are then applied to permanently fuse the toner onto the paper. This process allows for sharp, precise printing at high speeds.

Laser printers work by using a laser to draw an image on a charged, rotating drum. This image is made up of tiny dots, and the charged drum attracts electrically charged toner powder to these dots. The toner is then transferred from the drum to the paper, and a fuser unit melts and presses the toner onto the paper, creating a permanent image.

This technology is widely used in both home and office environments due to its speed, efficiency, and the cost-effectiveness of toner cartridges, especially for high-volume printing. Laser printing is particularly well-suited for text documents, offering crisp edges and clear readability. While color laser printing is also available, black and white laser printers remain the most prevalent for general document production. The technology has evolved significantly, leading to more compact, energy-efficient, and feature-rich devices.
