Länsigermaanisia is a classification within the Germanic language family. It encompasses a group of West Germanic languages spoken primarily in Northwestern Europe. These languages share a common ancestry and exhibit distinct linguistic features that differentiate them from other Germanic branches, such as North Germanic and East Germanic. The West Germanic branch is further divided into several subgroups.

The most prominent subgroup within West Germanic is the Inguaeonic or North Sea Germanic languages. This category includes English and its ancestor, Old English, as well as Frisian languages. Another significant group is the Istaevonic or Rhine-Weser Germanic languages, which includes Dutch, Afrikaans, German, and Yiddish.
