This creates convection currents that circulate and distribute heat throughout the fluid. This process is common in weather patterns and the heating of rooms.

Radiation is the transfer of heat through electromagnetic waves, such as infrared radiation. Unlike conduction and convection, radiation does not require a medium to travel and can occur through a vacuum, like the heat from the sun reaching Earth. All objects with a temperature above absolute zero emit thermal radiation.

Understanding lämmönkulku is crucial in many fields, including engineering, physics, and everyday life. It influences how buildings are insulated, how engines work, and even how our bodies regulate temperature. The rate at which heat transfers depends on factors like the material's thermal conductivity, temperature difference, and surface area.
