Lábfejek refers to the feet in Hungarian. The foot is divided into the hindfoot, midfoot, and forefoot, with the ankle joint connecting the leg to the foot. The hindfoot includes the talus and calcaneus (heel bone). The midfoot consists of five tarsal bones, forming the arch of the foot. The forefoot includes the metatarsals and phalanges (toes).

The arches of the foot, particularly the longitudinal and transverse arches, are crucial for distributing body weight and absorbing shock during movement. Muscles within the foot and lower leg control the intricate movements of the toes and ankle, enabling walking, running, jumping, and maintaining balance. Ligaments provide stability to the joints, while tendons connect muscles to bones, facilitating the transfer of force.
