lysiinista

Lysiinista is a Finnish musical duo consisting of singers and songwriters Lauri Tähkä and Timo Kotipelto. The project began in 2007 as a side project for both artists, who are otherwise known for their successful solo careers and as frontmen for their respective bands, Lauri Tähkä & Eläköön Elämä and Stratovarius. Their musical style blends elements of Finnish folk music with hard rock and melodic metal.

The duo's first and only album, "Matkalla", was released in 2007. It featured a collection of original songs and some reinterpretations of traditional Finnish folk tunes. The album achieved commercial success in Finland, reaching number one on the official Finnish album chart. The single "Syysyö" also charted well. Despite the album's success, Lysiinista remained a project with no immediate plans for further releases or extensive touring. The artists have since returned to focus on their primary musical endeavors. The concept behind Lysiinista was to explore a different musical landscape and collaborate on a project that offered a contrast to their established musical identities.
