Lymphoblástica refers to a condition or cell type characterized by the presence of lymphoblasts. Lymphoblasts are immature white blood cells that are precursors to lymphocytes, a type of immune cell. Normally, these cells mature into functional lymphocytes, but in certain conditions, they can proliferate abnormally.

The most common context in which the term "lymphoblástica" is used is in describing certain types of leukemia and lymphoma. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow that involves the rapid proliferation of immature lymphoid cells called lymphoblasts. Similarly, some forms of lymphoma can involve lymphoblasts.

The appearance of lymphoblasts on a peripheral blood smear or bone marrow biopsy is a key diagnostic feature for these hematological malignancies. Their presence indicates a disruption in normal blood cell development. Treatment for lymphoblástica conditions typically involves chemotherapy, and depending on the specific diagnosis and risk factors, other therapies such as targeted therapy, radiation therapy, or stem cell transplantation may also be employed. Prognosis varies widely based on factors including the subtype of leukemia or lymphoma, the patient's age, and the presence of specific genetic mutations within the lymphoblasts.
