lyckades

Lyckades is the past tense form of the Swedish verb lyckas, meaning to succeed or to manage (to do something). The present tense is lyckas, and the past participle is lyckats. The verb is intransitive and is typically followed by an infinitive or a bare infinitive to specify what was achieved, for example: Jag lyckades få biljetter till konserten. The past tense form is the same for all subjects: jag lyckades, du lyckades, han/hon lyckades, vi lyckades, ni lyckades, de lyckades. The negation is igenom med “inte”: Jag lyckades inte hitta lösningen.
