Lomailua is a fictional island nation in the central Pacific Ocean, created for educational and narrative use. The Lomai archipelago comprises three main islands—Lomalau, Koari, and Tiare—and numerous smaller islets. The total land area is about 120 square kilometers, with a tropical climate featuring a mountainous interior and extensive fringing reefs around the coast.

Population is around 7,000 residents. The majority ethnic group is the Lomai, who speak Lomai as the official language; English is widely used in government, education, and tourism. Traditional culture emphasizes oral storytelling, weaving, and dance, with festivals commemorating sea and harvest cycles.

Most of the economy centers on small-scale fishing, coconut products, and growing ecotourism. The capital and largest town is Lomaki, situated on the western coast of the largest island. Infrastructure includes a small international airport near Lomaki and a deep-sea port, with limited road networks and ongoing renewable-energy projects.

Historically, Lomailua was settled by Pacific navigators before European contact, experienced colonial rule in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and achieved self-government in the late 20th century. It maintains protected areas such as the Lomai Reef Reserve and Lomailua National Park to conserve coral reefs and montane rainforest. Higher education is provided by Lomailua University, established in 2000, with programs in marine science, agriculture, and sustainable development.
