Lokativním is the instrumental singular form of the Czech adjective lokativní, meaning “locative” or “relating to the locative case.” In Czech grammar the locative (lokativ) is one of the grammatical cases used with certain prepositions to indicate location, topic, or related notion, for example v Praze (in Prague) or o domě (about the house). The adjective lokativní is employed in linguistic and grammatical descriptions to label things associated with the locative case, such as lokativní pád (the locative case).

The form lokativním often appears in phrases where lokativní modifies a noun in an instrumental context or in fixed expressions, for instance lokativním způsobem, meaning “in a locative manner.” As a declined form, lokativním is one of several endings of lokativní; other gender and number combinations use different forms.
