lnu, short for Linnaeus University, is a public university located in Sweden with campuses in Växjö and Kalmar in the southern part of the country. It was established on January 1, 2010, through the merger of Växjö University and Kalmar University College (Kalmar Högskola). The university is named after Carl Linnaeus, the 18th‑century Swedish botanist and naturalist, in recognition of his contribution to science.
