Symptoms of leukemia can vary depending on the type and stage of the disease, but often include fatigue, fever, frequent infections, easy bruising or bleeding, and bone pain. Diagnosis is typically made through blood tests and a bone marrow biopsy.

Treatment for leukemia depends on the type of leukemia, the patient's age and overall health, and other factors. Common treatments include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, and stem cell transplantation. The goal of treatment is to achieve remission, which means the signs and symptoms of leukemia have disappeared. While remission is a significant achievement, leukemia can sometimes return.
