leukovärvid
Leukovärvid, also known as white pigments, are a category of inorganic substances primarily used to impart whiteness and opacity to various materials. They function by scattering visible light, which prevents light from passing through and makes the material appear white. The most common and widely used leukovärvid is titanium dioxide (TiO2), prized for its high refractive index, excellent hiding power, and UV-blocking properties. Other leukovärvid include zinc oxide (ZnO) and lithopone, a mixture of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate.
The applications of leukovärvid are extensive and span across numerous industries. In the paint and coatings
