Leeloo is a fictional character who serves as the protagonist in the 1997 science fiction film The Fifth Element. She is portrayed by Milla Jovovich. Leeloo is depicted as the "Supreme Being" in female form, created by ancient beings to protect Earth from a great evil. This evil manifests as a fiery ball of destruction that approaches the planet every five thousand years.

At the beginning of the film, Leeloo is created in a laboratory in the year 2257. She is an amalgamation of human DNA and the four elemental stones – earth, water, air, and fire – which are keys to activating a powerful divine weapon. Leeloo escapes her creators and, in her initial confusion and fear, causes chaos in the lower levels of New York City. She is pursued by Zorg, a weapons manufacturer who seeks to acquire her and the elemental stones for his own nefarious purposes.

Leeloo is eventually rescued by Korben Dallas, a former special forces major and taxi driver. Korben becomes her protector and ally. Throughout their journey, Leeloo demonstrates extraordinary combat abilities and a rapid learning capacity, quickly absorbing knowledge and understanding human language and emotions. Her primary objective becomes helping Korben and his companions gather the four elemental stones to defeat the impending universal threat. Leeloo's character arc involves her evolution from a childlike, confused being to a powerful, compassionate protector of humanity.
