Ledernasämpning is a Swedish term that translates to "joint lubrication" or "joint suppleness." It refers to the natural process by which the body maintains the smooth functioning of its joints. This process is primarily facilitated by synovial fluid, a viscous substance found in the cavities of synovial joints. Synovial fluid acts as a lubricant, reducing friction between the articular cartilages that cover the ends of bones within a joint. It also provides nourishment to the cartilage and helps to absorb shock.
