Kërcimi is the Albanian word for dance. It encompasses a wide variety of traditional and contemporary dance forms practiced throughout Albania and in Albanian-speaking regions. Albanian folk dances are characterized by their diverse regional styles, each reflecting the unique history, culture, and traditions of its area. These dances often involve intricate footwork, rhythmic clapping, and specific arm movements.

Traditional Albanian dances are typically performed at celebrations, weddings, festivals, and other social gatherings. Instruments such as the çifteli, lahuta, sharki, and def (frame drum) often accompany these dances, providing the characteristic music.
