Kártyavetés, also known as card throwing or card tossing, is a traditional Hungarian game that is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The game is typically played by two players, but can be adapted for more participants. The objective of the game is to be the first player to discard all of their cards.

The game begins with each player being dealt an equal number of cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in a draw pile. Players take turns drawing a card from the draw pile and then discarding a card from their hand onto a discard pile. The discarded card must match the rank or suit of the card on top of the discard pile. If a player cannot discard a card, they must draw a card from the draw pile and their turn ends.

Special rules apply to certain cards. The Ace can be played on any card, and the Two can be played on any card except an Ace. The Jack can be played on any card, but the player must then draw two cards from the draw pile. The Queen can be played on any card, but the player must then skip their next turn. The King can be played on any card, but the player must then reverse the direction of play.

The game continues until one player has discarded all of their cards, at which point they are declared the winner. Kártyavetés is a simple and enjoyable game that can be played by people of all ages. It is a popular pastime in Hungary and is often played during social gatherings and family events.
