kwalifikowan
Kwalifikowan is not an independent word in standard Polish. It is the stem of the adjective kwalifikowany, meaning qualified or credentialed. In normal prose, one uses kwalifikowany (masc. singular nominative), kwalifikowana (fem. sing.), or kwalifikowane (neut. sing. and plurals). The form kwalifikowan- appears inside declined forms such as kwalifikowanego (genitive singular), kwalifikowanemu (dative singular), and kwalifikowanych (genitive plural or accusative plural). The most common plural nominatives are kwalifikowani (masc. plur.) and kwalifikowane (fem./neut. plur.). The root kwalifik- comes from the verb kwalifikować and ultimately from Latin qualificare.
