The process of quantum teleportation involves three main steps: entanglement creation, Bell state measurement, and classical communication. First, two particles are entangled, meaning their quantum states are interconnected. One particle is sent to the sender (Alice), and the other is sent to the receiver (Bob). Alice then performs a Bell state measurement on her particle and the particle whose state she wishes to teleport. This measurement collapses the entangled state, and the result of the measurement is sent to Bob via classical communication. Bob then applies a corresponding quantum operation to his particle, which transforms it into the same state as the original particle that Alice had.

Quantum teleportation does not involve the physical transportation of matter, but rather the transfer of quantum information. This process has been experimentally demonstrated with various types of particles, including photons, atoms, and ions.
