Kuutiocenttimetriä is the Finnish word for cubic centimeter. A cubic centimeter, often abbreviated as cm³ or cc, is a unit of volume in the metric system. It is equivalent to the volume of a cube with sides of one centimeter in length. One cubic centimeter is equal to one milliliter (mL). This relationship makes it a common unit for measuring liquid volumes, particularly in scientific and medical contexts. For example, a small syringe might hold 10 cm³ of liquid, or a recipe might call for 50 cm³ of an ingredient. The unit is derived from the base unit of length, the meter, by cubing it.
