kuulmisrõngast
Kuulmisrõngas, also known as a hearing loop or induction loop, is an assistive listening system that transmits sound directly to hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with a telecoil. This technology creates a magnetic field that carries the audio signal, allowing individuals with hearing loss to hear amplified sound with improved clarity and reduced background noise. The system typically consists of a microphone, an amplifier, and a coil of wire installed around the perimeter of a room or area, such as a lecture hall, theater, or place of worship. When a hearing aid is switched to the 'T' (telecoil) setting, it picks up the magnetic signal from the loop. This bypasses the hearing aid's own microphone, which can often pick up ambient noise and reverberation, thus delivering a clearer audio experience for the user. Kuulmisrõngad are a widely used and effective assistive listening technology, enhancing communication and participation for people with hearing impairments in various public and private settings. They are often indicated by a visible symbol showing a hearing aid with a 'T'.
