KupariIoksidi, also known as copper(II) oxide or cupric oxide, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula CuO. It is the more stable of the two common oxides of copper, the other being copper(I) oxide (Cu2O). KupariIoksidi is a black solid that is insoluble in water but soluble in acids.

This compound occurs naturally as the mineral tenorite. It can be synthesized by several methods, including the thermal decomposition of copper(II) carbonate or copper(II) nitrate. A common laboratory preparation involves heating copper metal in air at temperatures above 300 degrees Celsius.
