Korganman is an American computer security analyst and researcher best known for his contributions to the field of cryptographic protocol analysis during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Born in 1968 in San Diego, California, Korganman earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, followed by a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University, where his dissertation focused on formal verification techniques for security protocols.

While working at the National Security Agency (NSA) in the early 1990s, Korganman played a key role in identifying and addressing weaknesses in the Kerberos authentication protocol, a project that later influenced the design of secure authentication systems worldwide. He was also a founding member of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Technical Architecture Team, contributing to the development of the OWASP Top Ten security guidelines.

In 2001, Korganman joined the cybersecurity firm SecureSoft, where he led the development of their suite of penetration testing tools used by corporate and government clients. His publications in the Journal of Computer Security and his keynote speeches at international security conferences have earned him widespread recognition.

Korganman currently serves as a senior research fellow at the Institute for Secure Computing, where he focuses on post-quantum cryptography and secure multiparty computation. He is a frequent commentator on emerging threats in the cyber domain and regularly advises policymakers on technology regulation.
