kontekstiksi

Kontekstiksi is the translative form of the Finnish noun konteksti, meaning context. It is used to express that something becomes, or is designated as, a context for something else. The form is created by adding the translative suffix -ksi to the stem konteksti, producing kontekstiksi. In Finnish, the translative often marks change of state or designation, for example: tilanne muuttuu kontekstiksi (the situation becomes a context) or tätä havaintoa käytetään analyysin kontekstiksi (this observation is used as the context for the analysis).
