konemielin
Konemielin is not a widely recognized anatomical term in contemporary neuroanatomy. In Dutch-language writings, “mielin” means myelin, and the prefix could be used informally to refer to myelin related to cone pathways, but there is no distinct structure officially called konemielin in standard anatomy references.
In the vertebrate retina, cone photoreceptor axons within the retina are unmyelinated. Myelination of visual pathways
If the term konemielin appears in literature or discussions, it is likely a nonstandard or outdated usage,
Clinical relevance typically concerns demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis, which can affect optic nerve myelination
