Koherenttia is a theoretical construct used to describe how strongly components of a system maintain phase or informational alignment across hierarchical levels. It emerges in discussions of coherence in physics, information theory, and complex systems.

The term combines koherentti (coherent) with the nominalizing suffix -tia to denote a property or measure. It is used across disciplines, with domain-specific interpretations.

In physics-inspired usage, koherenttia K is defined as the average of pairwise coherence values Cij between subsystems i and j, where Cij = |⟨Oi Oj⟩| / sqrt(⟨Oi Oi⟩ ⟨Oj Oj⟩). Then K = (2/(n(n-1))) sum Cij over all pairs. It yields 0 to 1. In information networks, koherenttia can be defined via cross-correlation of activity signals, or as the consistency of causal influences across layers.

It has been proposed as a unifying metric for comparing systems ranging from quantum devices to social networks. Critics note that koherenttia may reflect measurement choices rather than intrinsic properties, and that its interpretation is strongly domain-specific. Proponents argue it can facilitate cross-disciplinary insights when clearly defined.
