Kobilica is a medieval hillfort located in the northwestern part of Kosovo. The site features a well-preserved structure that dates back to the 14th century, during the reign of the Serbian Emperor Stefan Uroš V.

The church, with its impressive façade, is one of the most recognizable features of the Kobilica hillfort. AGER (Agency for Development and Investment of Kosovo) considers the structure to be an important historical site, placing it on the list of Kosovo's cultural monuments.

Researchers have identified archaeological evidence linking Kobilica to the significant cultural and historical period in the region. Excavations uncovered ceramics, coins, and other artifacts originating from the 14th to the 19th centuries. The findings also suggest strong connections to the Kosovo region during this period.

Local and international efforts have been made to preserve the site. Archaeological projects and restoration work have been conducted, supported by international organizations such as UNESCO. Today, Kobilica remains a cultural and historical treasure not only for Kosovo but also for its significance within the broader cultural heritage of Southeastern Europe.
