kinnisasja
Kinnisasja is a Finnish legal term referring to immovable property under Finnish property law. It denotes land and buildings, together with any fixtures permanently attached to the land, treated as a single legal unit. A kinnisasja is a unit in the real estate register and is identified by a cadastral number and a legal description. Rights in a kinnisasja—such as ownership, usufructs, easements, and mortgages—are attached to the property itself rather than to a person. Because of this, transfers of ownership involve updating the register entry for the kinnisasja.
In the Finnish system, a mortgage or other encumbrance is recorded against the kinnisasja, creating a lien
Kinnisasja is distinguished from movable property, which can be transported and is not registered in the real
