kilgewicht
Kilgewicht is a term occasionally found in Dutch- and German-language technical texts to denote the weight of a mass of one kilogram. It is not an official SI unit, and in modern metrology the base units are the kilogram for mass and the newton for force. In older or specialized literature, kilgewicht can be used to refer to the force exerted by gravity on a 1 kg mass, a concept sometimes called kilogram-force (kgf).
Definition and relation to other units: The weight W of a mass m on Earth is W
History and usage: The distinction between mass and weight has been emphasized in metrology as scientific standards
