Keratinoituneisiin on suomen kielen illatiivin monikon muoto sanasta keratinoitunut, meaning keratinized. The form is used in scientific Finnish to refer to keratinoituneet solut (keratinized cells) or keratinoituneisiin kudoksiin, depending on context. The term itself does not denote a distinct biological process, but rather a grammatical form that appears in sentences describing keratinized tissue.

Keratinoituminen (keratinization) is the process by which keratinocytes differentiate as they move from the epidermal basal layers to the outer stratum corneum, synthesizing keratin proteins and lipids and forming a protective, cornified envelope.
