Kaubikud is a term used in the Estonian language to refer to merchants or traders. In historical sources, the word designates members of the mercantile class who participated in local and cross-border commerce. Historically, kaubikud operated within broader Baltic trade networks that connected northern Europe with the inner lands of the Baltic region.
