Kalorimetrarna are instruments used to measure the heat of chemical reactions or physical changes. The term comes from the Greek words *calore* (heat) and *metron* (measure) and is employed in both academic research and industrial applications. In a typical calorimetric experiment a sample is placed in a known medium, often water or a sealed container, and the temperature change is recorded.
