kadrist

Kadrist refers to a follower of Kadirism, a spiritual and philosophical movement founded by Abdul Qadir Jilani. Jilani was a prominent Hanbali jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic who lived from 1077 to 1166 CE. Kadirism is one of the oldest and most widespread Sufi orders.

Followers, known as Kadris or Qadris, adhere to Jilani's teachings, which emphasize a life of piety, devotion, and service to God. Central to Kadrist practice are the principles of Tawhid (oneness of God), adherence to Sharia (Islamic law), and the pursuit of spiritual purification (tazkiyah).
