Kaasuvaiheen refers to the gaseous state of matter. In this phase, particles have high kinetic energy and are far apart, moving randomly and at high speeds. Unlike solids and liquids, gases have no definite shape or volume and will expand to fill any container they occupy. The transition from a solid to a gas is called sublimation, and the transition from a liquid to a gas is called vaporization or boiling. Conversely, the transition from a gas to a liquid is called condensation, and the transition from a gas directly to a solid is called deposition.
The behavior of gases is described by gas laws, such as Boyle's Law, Charles's Law, and the
